Rent a kayak at Willow Beach and explore Colorado River!
Explore the beauty of the Black Canyon, Colorado River, and Emerald Cave all self guided! Pickup you kayak at Willow Beach and begin your paddle upriver, exploring hidden coves, canyon beaches, and the iconic Emerald Cave. Keep your eyes on the shoreline for bighorn sheep and bald eagles. Towering canyon walls stretching over 800ft tall will lead the way upriver two miles to the Emerald Cave where you will get breathtaking views of the emerald green water.
- Includes only kayak and gear rental
- Kayaks and gear must be returned no later than 3pm
- Any late returns will result in an additional charge
- Any damage to the kayaks will result in an additional charge
- Bring plenty of water and food, summertime temps can reach over 115 F
What’s included
- Kayak (single or tandem), paddle, life vest, and a map of the canyon.

- Hat, sunglasses, & sunscreen
- Water shoes, sandals, or old tennis shoes (no flip-flops or slides, please)..you will get wet up to your knees.
- Layered clothing (swimsuit & layers for warmth & UV protection, preferably no cotton or denim)
- Camera/Phone for pictures
- As a self driver, you will be entering the Lake Mead Nat’l Rec area at the Willow Beach Marina. There is a fee to enter, it is $25/vehicle or free if you have a military ID or a Nat’l Parks pass (America the Beautiful)
